I am excited to finally share the winners of my Valentine’s Day Trader Joe’s Favorites with you today! There were wonderful entries talking about what food you all associate with love: cookies, wine, homemade food, prime rib steak, coffee, cheesecake, chicken noodle soup, potatoes, chocolate, bread, cheese, and hot cocoa. Head back to this post to read all the comments with the rationale behind them (my favorite was Milena’s comment about her boyfriend’s fried potatoes!). While everything trended towards sweet, you guys are big fans of homemade treats and I’m happy to hear that.
The winner of the Trader Joe’s package is:
Valerie @ Eyechow
The winners of a tea-stuffed envelope are:
Lauren @ I Believe in Pink Too
Erin @ The Almond Eater

I am about to email you all so please check and respond with your mailing addresses! Thanks again to everyone who participated. I love sharing my favorite items with you guys!
I thought I would share some of the foods I associate with love today too, in What I Ate fashion-
Clockwise from the top
Carrot cake cupcake from Baked and Wired
Sliced strawberries sprinkled with sugar
Date truffles from my recipe
Latte and pain au chocolat at Victoria’s Peak, Hong Kong
Garlic shrimp pasta from my recipe

But the real winner here is still me – because I have a trader joe’s less than a mile away 🙂

AH my dear you are so right on! While your number wasn’t the magic number, I will be happy to join you for a cup of tea or a TJs run next time I’m in PDX. I wish I knew when that was so we could plan a date, but it’s hard now that my sister is in college and I want to coordinate with her as well so she can come down from Seatown.

YAY! I’m so excited!! 😀 There isn’t a Trader Joe’s in our ‘hood so this delivery will be amazing! Thanks for doing the giveaway.
And I can totally relate to the carrot cake being associated with love; my best friend’s family has a tradition where they always make carrot cakes from scratch for each others birthdays. I’ve always thought it was so sweet and loving.

I am glad to hear that the TJoes products will come in handy! Wouldn’t it be awesome if they made deliveries!? That’s funny that you mention that, because carrot cake is the only cake I can have on my birthday. I have loved it since I was little and now it’s my favorite tradition!

I am so sad I missed on out on the giveaway due to my hectic schedule/hiatus from blogging!!! 🙁 BUT, I LOVE LOVE LOVE baked and wired! Best cupcake/coffee shop in the DC area in my opinion. 🙂

I am so happy to hear that you are another B&W fan! There are too many pretentious cupcakes in DC, and I love how edgy and cool the shop is and would try to do some work there when I was a student in DC. Their granolas, coffee, and other baked goods are insanely good too! Glad to have you back around here and hope all is going well 🙂

I can’t believe I won! Yippee!

I’m glad to hear you excited, Lauren! I will get your envelope in the mail by the end of the week!

I’m so excited you mentioned my love of potatoes! Almost as good as winning! 🙂

Thanks for participating Milena! I thought it was a great story!
