We are due for an update, am I right? I’m about a week away from getting to take a few more days off for the long holiday – it seems like the time between my trip to Portugal + India dragged by but then again, I can’t believe we’re mid-way through December! I have a bunch of fun posts coming up for you all in the next few weeks, with a theme for January that I plan to reveal next week so stay tuned!
Since getting back from our trip, Noah started his house hunt as we have known for awhile that it would be smart to make an investment. It took us about 30 house tours and 6 weeks to find the hilariously-out-there huge Dutch Colonial house (yep, it looks like a barn) painted red (so yep, really a barn) that was right for us, and our plan to have roommates. While I already miss our tiny apartment and how low-maintenance it was, it truly is fun to pick paint colors, start some small projects, and see the house transform before our eyes.
I can’t wait for roommates to move in, since its a big and quiet house, and have dinners to share the space with others! Since it was built in 1885, there is a lot of old charm that we are trying to keep alive (who knew painting trim pure white would take multiple days?) so that’s where I’ve been many nights these past two weeks instead of blogging. We live in a quirky neighborhood and I already love it. I can’t believe it’s been less than 2 weeks since we moved in!
While moving, we ate out a lot and I am on the squiggly line this week trying to reign my eating and exercise back into balance. But that does mean I have lots of delicious meals to share with you! Since moving ‘hoods, we’ve diversified the coffee shops + restaurants that we gravitate towards so there were lots of fun new eats these past few weeks.
Check it out + happy almost weekend!
